Charley and MPI done us all proud. Miss Ted still. I still read his posts on the anxiety thread and feel annoyed I took it so lightly.

Re: Rip Ted Fenton
Nice one, Charley.

I'm sure Ted would approve. Any chance you could add a really corny joke to the BLA donation?

Thanks for all you and MPI have done, and continue to do.

Re: Rip Ted Fenton
I got an email from Andrew - Ted's son and he says

"Just wanted to say thanks for the flowers, we loved them, a fitting tribute from WHO and 2 of our households wanted to put it outside of their respected houses."

Andrew also mentioned about the British Liver association and after discussing with MPI we agreed on your behalf we woiuld make a £100 donation to the British Liver Asociation a lot of people contributed directly because of Ted's passing so the money roughly divides up a third for flowers, a third towards The Liver Association and the final third to remain the fund.

I will post this on the WHO fund thread

Well done everyone involved on WHO. I knew Steve quite well and he was truly a nice guy.
The Floral Tribute was perfect and he will be sorely missed by all of us on this forum.
Although our common bond on WHO is a love of West Ham, Steve managed an almost unique feat. This was being a regular poster, which I’m not, and never arguing or falling out with anyone! That is a measure of the man. Rest in peace mate and we will all miss your good humour and weather forecasts, but most of all we will miss you!

Well done MPI and Charlie, a thoroughly nice gesture and helps restore a bit of faith in human kindness.

Thank you to everyone who made a thoughtful gesture here. That floral tribute must have been well-received. I only met Ted once - although it was a memorable occasion at the 2012 Play-off final - but we kept in touch almost daily via social media and I'm going to miss his comments and awful jokes. Journey well Steve / Ted. The place won't be the same without you.

Well done MPI.

Great to hear Tedward of Frinton got a lovely send off and that WHO was represented as he was universally liked on here ( a mean feat in itself ). We will all miss his humour, weather reports and those jokes.

Will certainly raise a glass or two of red to him this weekend

I forgot to mention our old friend Pringle was also there and with the families permission presented a West Ham scarf with them, like Norway he's known Ted a lot longer than me.

He's having trouble getting onto the site though.

Re: Rip Ted Fenton Funeral today (Thursday)
Thanks Moncs and Charlie. Your efforts anre really appreciated. I knew Ted (Steve) quite well and was chatting to him, a few days before he left us. A fighter to the end, we shared a lot of interests. Not only the Hammers, but football in general (we played against each other, in our younger days: senior amateur football). We also shared an interest in golf and Music. He will be greatly missed by many. RIP my friend.

Re: Rip Ted Fenton Funeral today (Thursday)
Just for the record the wreath cost £120 out of the WHO fund and as MPI said how touched the family were by the floral tribute. It may seem a small gesture sending flowers but it is so well recieved when we do this. On your behalf I have sent flowers to Australia, USA and all over the UK, the impact it has on the families, to see a wreath with the west ham badge on is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks to MPI for attending.
